Two Prospective Members Sign Applications at March DAR Meeting

Supply - At the Chapter's March meeting, two prospective members signed their applications. Lesley Holden Williams signed her application for membership through Patriot James Larmore of North Caroline. her mother, Judy Robbins Holder, was her sponsor. Holden is chaplain of the Brunswick Town Chapter NSDAR.

Susan Cunningham signed her application for membership through Patriot John Ford of North Carolina, a singer of the Mecklenburg Declaration. Her sponsors were Carol Hart and the chapter's vice-regent Martha Koletar.

Daughter of the American Revolution is a service organization founded in 1890 for women who can prove direct, blood lineage from a Revolutionary War Patriot. The organization promotes patriotism, education, and historic preservation DAR is a nonprofit non-political volunteer organization with more than 185,000 members in 3000 chapters across the world. There are more than 7500 members in 105 chapters in North Carolina.

The Brunswick Town Chapter has more than 160 members, several of whom descend from Patriots who l lived in Brunswick County while fighting for our country's independence.
