The Brunswick Town
Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold their Wednesday, October
10, 2012 meeting at Trinity United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Southport, NC. The meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. Jim McKee, historian at
Brunswick Town/Ft. Fisher Historic Site; will give a presentation on Ft.
Johnston and the War of 1812. Be sure and make plans to attend the 200 years
after the War of 1812, which Southport hosts a three-day celebration to mark
the occasion. Jim McKee will speak at 10
a.m. at the symposium on October 20th. There is a $10 registration
fee which includes lunch. Check the Cape Fear Coast Calendar of Events which
