DAR Presents Flag to a Family is Supply, Nc
SUPPLY – Brunswick Town Chapter NSDAR participated in the dedication of a Supply, NC the family’s new home on October 6, 2021 with the presentation of an American flag to the homeowner.
Brunswick Town Chapter Regent presented the flag on behalf of the chapter and wished the family much happiness in her new home. “DAR believes
that all Americans deserve a safe happy place to live,” Regent said. “We’re
also very proud of our country and are happy to be able to give a flag to this
beautiful family.”
Following
an emotional speech in which he thanked everyone involved, the family cut the ribbon to their home and invited all in attendance to tour it.

NSDAR
is a volunteer service organization whose membership promotes patriotism,
education and historic preservation. Membership is open to any woman age 18 or
older who can prove direct lineal bloodline descent from an individual who
contributed to American independence.

College Scholarships Available from DAR
The Brunswick Town DAR Chapter is accepting
applications for the NC DAR Cordon Street Endowment Gift scholarships available
to all senior students in Brunswick County. Please share this awesome
opportunity for scholarship money with your children, grandchildren and
neighbors.
Scholarships of $1,500 are available to two worthy students entering or enrolled in academically accredited technical schools, community colleges, colleges, or universities. There is no GPA requirement.
The deadline is January 31,
