Fall Forum 2013

Phyllis Wilson, NC State Public Relations & Media Chair gave a workshop in Asheville and Goldsboro to regents, chapter public relations chairs and other interested DAR members wanting to learn how to develop a newsletter, Facebook page, blog or pamphlet. Anyone interested in designing these media areas such contact her at golfwilson@ec.rr.com. Information was also given in presentation of reports for public relations to be submitted to her after completing the Master Questionnaire for evaluation for possible awards.
Lisa Pomeranz, NC State Chair of the Genealogy Preservation Committee. The committee's goal is to index DAR genealogical and membership information into computerized searchable databases. Lisa English, DAR member of the Rockfish Chapter presented workshops in all three locations at the Fall Forum and also during lunch each day gave a short talk about her project of folding pocket flags to give to the military men and women who are deployed.
