Naturalization Ceremony Friday, July 3, 2015
Hello Ladies,
Yes, you are receiving another email regarding the Naturalization Ceremony Reception being held the afternoon of Friday July 3rd after the Naturalization Ceremony. Connie and I find it hard to believe how quickly time has flown by and now we are almost ready to bring our planning to completion.
First, let me thank you for your quick and generous responses to Connie Hendrix's request for HELP. We are looking forward to working with those of you who have volunteered to come on the 3rd and help out personally.
We know that the 4th of July is a BIG event for our country and for our families near and far so we do understand that all of you will not be able to be there in person. We do however appreciate your contributions of additional food items or in some cases monetary donations. Therefore, instead of having ALL the reception foods and supplies provided by the membership we have already purchased a number of food items. However, we still need your contributions in order to complete the menu and have sufficient food for our guests. The items needed were listed in a previous email prepared by Connie and emailed to the membership by Jackie.
Connie and I will be picking up some of foods and the ice on our way into the Community Center on Friday morning. We both anticipate being at the Center no later than 10AM. Should you need to bring your donations earlier, Fran Carlson will be opening the Center around 8AM so you will be able to drop them off at your convenience. Please be sure to put any foods that need refrigeration in one of the refrigerators in the kitchen. Also, in order for us to keep track of who has delivered their designated items, please be sure your name is somewhere on or inside the containers.
Here’s the Last Word for the day: Those of you who will be working on the 3rd must be wearing Red, White and Blue in some form. Also, if you are working in the kitchen, in order to meet the Food Service Requirements you must wear some kind of visor or cap that keeps your hair back from your face to prevent hairs from being dropped into the food.
