Brunswick Town DAR members attend State Conference

The North Carolina Daughters of the American Revolution State Conference was held April 1-3, 2011 at the Marriott Winston-Salem, NC. There are 106 chapters and 85 were represented at the conference. During the three day conference honorees for Good Citizens and educational scholarship award winners were recognized. The guest speaker at the conference was Adnan Barqawi, a newly naturalized citizen from Kuwait, who is Virginia Tech’s current “Undergraduate Leader of the Year” and former Regimental Commander of “Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets.”
