Hello Ladies,
So many things popped up here at the last minute and I wanted to make you aware of what is happening so you could add to your calendar if you are able to attend.
On Wednesday, January 16, 2019 there will be a dedication for a new habitat home in Boiling Spring Lakes. The address is 1320 Woodcrest Drive, Boiling Spring Lakes. Our chapter will be presenting an American Flag to the new owner. The time is 4:00PM.
On Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Wilmington National Cemetery they will be removing wreaths from the graves of the Veterans. The removal time is 9:00AM . Weather says about 60 degrees but should be cooler in the morning. Dress appropriately. To help in removing the wreaths they suggest you bring a long stick, something like rake, which will allow you to carry several wreaths at once. Removal should take about 2 hours.
Thank you for your support of Wreaths Across America and all who purchased or who had friends and family purchase a wreath as this year's ceremony was a great success. There were enough wreaths to cover every grave site. Somebody was looking out for the Veterans at the Wilmington National Cemetery.
On Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Holden Beach Chapel at Holden Beach will be the celebration of the life of our member Virginia ANNE BARNHILL, time 2:00PM.
In DAR Friendship,
Carol Jutte, Regent
