Dear Daughters,
I hope you’re enjoying Continental Congress. Wasn’t it great to see and hear the children from Kate Duncan Smith DAR School singing Thursday evening? And I hope you were able to attend the virtual DAR Schools Lunch yesterday.
I wanted to ensure you were aware a bit of news released in the past week from North Carolina’s own Crossnore School & Children’s Home. Crossnore is so much more than a school or a children’s home. They provide a COMMUNITY of services such as counseling and adoption facilitation as well as the charter school Williams Academy and group homes for displaced and abused children. They even have a farm and high ropes course in Winston-Salem and another office in Hendersonville!
Realizing the growth of their service and expanse of their mission to fully service all the varied needs of their children, Crossnore has recently adopted a new logo and brand. This does not change what they are doing. They still have a school. They still have group homes. The new brand just better recognizes ALL that they are ALREADY doing.
Attached is the press release and a link to Crossnore Communities for Children for more information.

(for approximately another 20 hours or so J – It’s been pure joy to serve as your chairman)
