The
Brunswick Town Chapter, NSDAR recently delivered the first collection of books
donated by chapter members to the Brunswick Literacy Council to assist with
their Holiday Book Share. Program. Literary Council Executive Director Dot
Hoerr (shown on left), was presented with 106 books and 69 magazines by Carol
Hart, DAR Chapter Literacy Promotion Chair. The books and magazines were
donated by Brunswick Town Chapter members and are given to children in local
schools as Christmas gifts in connection with Brunswick Family Assistance.
Adults and children at Hope Harbor will also be recipients of the donated
books. The books will provide an enjoyable incentive to students and
adults to engage in reading this Holiday Season!
