Martha Koletar was working in New Jersey right over the George Washington Bridge from New York City on September 11, 2001. She could see the smoke rising from the towers. So many people were affected that awful day. The tragedy seared in memories. Jean P. Matricaria wrote a book and asked for poems about the event. Martha's poem, entitled, "9/11" was selected for the book. It is shown below.
