The Brunswick Town DAR Chapter Behind the Scene at the Naturalization Ceremony

Due to threatening rain at the Naturalization Ceremony, it was decided to conduct the event inside the Southport, Community Center. It was tight quarters, but ity worked out very nicely.

Brunswick Town Chapter Regent, Pat Gooding and Vice-Regent, Martha Koletar posing prior to the ceremony. They handed out flags to each newly naturalized citizen.

Prior to the event, Pat Gooding, Regent, Joyce Vanatter, Regent, Jared Mansfield Chapter, Mansfield, Ohio, Carol Jutte's sister,  Fran Carlsen, - Co-Chair for the Naturalization Ceremony and Carol Jutte former chapter regent visited before the ceremony started.

L to R: Cassie McKee, sang the National Anthem at the program, Martha Koletar, Vice-Regent handed out flags at the ceremony to the naturalized citizens, Dana Majernik, Historian, and Pat Tucker,

Vice-Regent Martha Koletar took a photo of Phyllis Wilson, photographer. As the photographer you generally don't get in the photos.
Kathy Johnson, Jo-Ann Alford, Peggy Harris, Maxine McCullar, Committee Chair, Connie Hendrix, Pat Steele and  Rick Sessa, Veteran volunteer getting the snacks ready to put out for the buffet new naturalized citizens and their families, as well as friends to enjoy. Rick was visiting the crew in the kitchen to see if we needed any assistance.

Difficult problem solved by Peggy, Carol and Pat - how to dump too many potato chips into one bag. Another bag was quickly secured and it all fit in the two bags. That is what is called team work.

The newly naturalized citizens, friends and family members enjoyed the variety of snacks provided by our chapter. Kudos to Maxine  McCullar and her staff of DAR ladies that helped.
