Children's Books are Needed for This Year's Literacy Promotion Project for Brunswick Town DAR Chapter!

Books Are Needed!
Children’s books are needed for this year’s Literacy Promotion project.  You may bring books that are gently used or new to our chapter meeting at any time of the year.  Books can be for ages infants to teens.
Bringing books in May will give us a head start and help us make a valuable contribution to the Literacy Council’s Holiday Book Share in December.  These books become gifts to children identified by Brunswick Family Assistance and thereby help to improve reading skills and communication in students.
Last year we donated 425 books – sounds like a lot, but more were needed.  Ollie’s in Wilmington sells discounted children’s books.  Libraries often replace their stock, and offer books very cheaply.  Thank you to those who donated books last year, and now look for the “Book Box” at our next meeting!
