Wreaths Across America - Directions

Wreaths Across America - Let's All Purchase Wreaths

Wreaths Across America is celebrated on the second Saturday in December. The 2024 National Wreaths Across America Day will be on Saturday, December 14. Our DAR chapter is in second place for sponsoring 238 wreaths this year. This does not include any wreaths purchased at the first meeting or during the summer. We need 5,126 to put a wreath on each grave at Wilmington National Cemetery. So we are still short 2,794. Since we have a monthly DAR meeting, you can still give our treasurer a check at the November meeting. The cut-off point will be December 3rd. Be sure to bring your checkbook to the November meeting. Each wreath is $17. Then, December 14th is the date until January 14th, you can purchase wreaths for the 2-for-1 Sale. This means that you will get two wreaths for every wreath you buy. We did that last year, and it was a huge success.  If you have questions about Wreaths Across America, email our social media chair at par4wilson@gmail.com. If you order by credit card during the 2-for-1 sale, the results are counted much more quickly. With a credit card, it is immediate.

If you have problems ordering a wreath, call the main number for Wreaths Across America at 877-385-9504; someone will answer the phone M-F between 7am - 8:30pm. Sat. and Sunday, 9am - 2pm. If you call at a different time, you can leave your name and phone number, and someone will return your call.  You can buy a wreath with a credit card or debit card. It takes about 5 minutes, and you will get a receipt e-mailed immediately. You need to tell the person you are ordering from that your group is Brunswick Town Chapter NSDAR (NC0009P) for our chapter to get credit for the order. You must also tell them about Wilmington National Cemetery, Wilmington, NC.

If you want to order by check, make out a check to Brunswick Town DAR Chapter for the amount you want to spend on wreaths and give it to Treasurer Keidre Koenig, who will order wreaths for our chapter with a debit card. Contact Phyllis Wilson, blog manager coordinator for Wreaths Across America for DAR, 1812, Colonial Dames. She will oversee ordering wreaths and assist anyone having a problem ordering. Contact Phyllis at par4wilson@gmail.com or text or call me at 910-367-1775.

"This year, when you place a Wreath placing a wreath on the grave of a Veteran, you will know it is not just a wreath. It's your personal gift to an American hero, and you will swell with pride and have a tear in your eye knowing you've done something special for our Veterans and their families. God bless our Veterans, and God bless America."

Our chapter treasurer will assist in ordering wreaths by check. Brunswick Town Chapter members ordering a wreath should try to give her a check at a DAR meeting. Make your check payable to Dar Brunswick Town Chapter, and put WAA in the memo line. Let Keidre know if you want your donation to go to this year’s WAA program or 2025. If you already donated for the 2 for 1 last December, then definitely donate to the WAA program for 2025. When Keidre gets sufficient orders, she will use her chapter debit card and order all the wreaths sponsored by our chapter for WAA in one order. You can also mail our treasurer a check.

If you prefer to order your wreaths by computer, follow the above directions.
