Naturalization and Fourth of July Parade Coming Up!

Naturalization Ceremony Reception will be held in Southport at the Community Center on July 3 immediately following the ceremony. Chair of this year’s DAR Reception is Maxine McCullar who asks that you consider volunteering to help. This is a great opportunity to welcome our country’s newest citizens. Volunteers will be needed to prepare for the reception and will be asked to come at 1:30 PM. Please email Maxine at maxinemccullar@gmail.com if you will be available to help. Fran Carlsen and her husband, Ted Chair the event. Cassie McKee, the Grand Niece of Martha Koletar, will sing the National Anthem, the Star-Spangled Banner.
The following day, July 4th, we will once again take our place in the Annual Fourth of July Parade.  Email Pat Gooding at pgooding2018@gmail.com if you wish to participate. Please let her know whether you will be available to walk in the parade or if you wish to ride in a golf cart. This is a fun day!
