Photos: N.C. 4th of July Festival Naturalization Ceremony July 3, 2019

Seventy-seven people from 35 different countries became U.S. citizens as part of the N.C. 4th of July Festival’s 23rd annual Naturalization Ceremony in Southport, NC.

Cassie McKee sang the National Anthem at the Naturalization Ceremony.

                            Mayor Dove welcomed everyone to Southport and the ceremony.

The Keynote Speaker was Frank Williams, the Chairman, Brunswick County Commission.
Judge Robert B. Jones, Jr, the U.S. Magistrate Judge, Eastern District Wilmington, NC presided over the event.

Maria Rodriguez is filling out the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Photo/Video Release Form so this photo and the photos below of her children can be placer on our blog and Facebook. Maria's husband Fabian is sitting next to her. He was to be naturalized a little later on in the day.




Regent, Pat Gooding passed out flags to the newly naturalized citizens.

Frank Williams received the above plaque which was presented to him by Co-Chairs of the Naturalization Ceremony by Theodore and Fran Carlsen.
