WWAY’s Histories and Mysteries of Cape Fear

                   The cast of stars that appeared in the filming of Histories and Mysteries of Cape Fear.

Members of our chapter recently became film stars as they participated in the filming of a soon to be released segment of WWAY’s Histories and Mysteries of Cape Fear. The intent of the series is to bring North Carolina’s history back to life!

Filming took place at the beautiful Airlie Gardens. It was very hot wearing Colonial period gowns, but loads of fun. Our chapter joined with the Stamp Defiance Chapter, Wilmington Ladies Tea Walk Chapter and Battle of Moore’s Creek Bridge Chapter in Wilmington to stand-in as extras in the documentary focusing on the voices of women in history

Brandon Ewers is the Producer, Director, and Editor. In the past, he has produced the following historical documentaries of particular interest to Brunswick and New Hanover Counties: Ghost of Burgwin-Wright House; Civil Rights, Civil War; USSNC Battleship; Screen Gems Studio;
Cape Fear River; The Ghost of Samuel Jocelyn; Birth of Blackbeard; The Maco Station Light; and many others.

Movie stars from Brunswick Town were Carol Jutte, Jean Green, Martha Koletar, Linda Lashley, Mary Beth Losch, and Phyllis Wilson. Pat Tucker was supposed to be a star in her beautiful dress, but unfortunately she became ill.
