DAR Chapter Members Volunteer at Clean-Up

The Southport Historical Society and the Southport Beautification Committee sponsored

a clean-up of the Old Smithville Burying Grounds on Saturday, June 24. Carol Jutte & Peggy Harris worked racking leaves and sprucing up the graves. Carol & Peggy placed an American flag on the grave of Rev. War Veteran Simphronius Russ.
