Scholarship Opportunity from the Bill of Rights Institute

As the Senior President of the Governor Benjamin Smith Society, Children of the American Revolution, I wanted to let you know about an exciting contest that might be of interest to some of your members.

The Bill of Rights Institute’s We The Students Scholarship Contest offers high school students aged 14-19 the chance to win up to $4,000 by answering three short questions focused around the ideas of the Constitution and the role of citizens. The deadline for the contest is December 6, 2013. Students can find the full questions and enter online at www.billofrightsinstitute.org/scholarship.

Prizes:
1st Place - $4,000
2nd Place - $2,000
3rd Place - $1,000
Honorable Mention (2 prizes) - $500 each
The Bill of Rights Institute is an educational non-profit with the mission to educate young people on the ideas of the Constitution and the rights it protects. The Institute develops curricula and provides professional development opportunities for educators. It also provides high school students with opportunities to develop their understanding of the founding documents through essay contests, Constitution Clubs, online games and resources, and summer programs.
Please let me know if you have any questions or require any additional information.
