Robert "Bob" Duke 2013 DAR Community Service Award Winner and DAR Registrar, Jackie Craft

The Daughters of the American Revolution honored Robert Duke as their 2013 Community Service Award Winner at their April 10th DAR meeting which was held at the Atlantic Seafood and Steak Restaurant. Bob Duke had had a long commitment to the military, retiring after 37 years of part-time service with the National Guard at the rank of Master Sergeant. He has been quite vocal in his support and love of our country and has taken that love to a whole other level.

A few years ago, Bob started collecting money for the Wounded Warrior Program, enticing would be donors with refurbished golf balls in thanks for their donations. To date, he has raised over $18,000 dollars. His time and energy have all been given freely towards this purpose. The DAR commends Bob and recognizes him as the Brunswick Town Chapter Community Service recipient of the year.
