Photos from WWI Event on VETERANS DAY - November 11, 2019


Friends of the 1918 Fort Caswell Rifle Range Memorial & Brunswick Town Chapter, NSDAR Continue to Honor Those Who Served in WWI.  On Veterans Day, November 11, 2019, 11:00 am Held at the Site of the 1918 Ft. Caswell Rifle Range Memorial in Caswell Beach, NC.

The family of WWI Veteran and POW Pvt  Robert Bollie Stanley who was honored at the event. They are the grandchildren of Robert Bollie Stanley

       

     Deborah Bolin granddaughter of WWI, Pvt Robert Bollie Stanley, Brunswick County 's only POW.  Served in the 92nd Division. 


Fred Stanley, grandson of Robert Bollie Stanley, read
some of the names of soldiers who served in the Great
War. Stanley’s grandfather from Brunswick County
was severely wounded and survived as a prisoner of
war to return home and run a farm.Fred Stanley,was raised by Robert Bollie Stanley.  He was 17 when his grandfather died.  Fred was with him when he took his last breath at age 61.
