Celebrate
America
Continue
to Celebrate America by sending in your community service hours earned over the
summer to Martha Koletar. She records the accumulative hours for the chapter and
each member. Individuals volunteering in schools, hospitals, churches
(education, governance, shut-ins, etc.), leading Scout troops and other youth
groups, serving in animal shelters, working with disabled children and adults,
registering voters and serving as a poll worker, just to name a few, and visiting National
Parks. Just be sure you tell Martha which Park you visited.
The
whole idea is to show the community, DAR is a service organization. You may go
online at the National Society website and read a more in-depth description: http://www.dar.org/members/committees/special-committees
Keep
up with those hours! We want to surpass last year!
