Wreath Laying Ceremony Held February 25th

A special thank you goes to DAR member Susan Hadenchuk who
edited the wreath; and using  the 9/11 flag as a backdrop.

At 10 a.m. Saturday, February 25,began the 236th Anniversary of the Battle of Moores Creek. The Moores Creek Battleground Association and the park employees held a wreath-laying ceremony honoring the fallen soldiers from both sides. The Daughters of the American Revolution, Sons of the American Revolution, Society of the Cincinnati, Sons of the Revolution, the Scottish Society of Wilmington and other patriotic groups participated in the ceremony.
